Patch Baker

Merchant Cash Advance Fraud

Patch was in our group and has since been kicked out, and here is what others have to say about him...

Dennis Yu

When I first met Patch Baker, he regaled me with heroic stories in the military-- which I assumed to be true, since I know nothing about the military and had no reason to suspect he was lying. Why would anyone want to fib about being a combat veteran who was on permanent disability or serving as David Petraeus' right hand man?

He said he was making hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from Black Rifle Coffee and other military entrepreneurs who partnered with him to run Facebook ads. And said he learned all of this from me-- by carefully watching and implementing what I taught. Then cockily added that if I could only implement what I preached, like what he was doing we'd all be billionaires.

I told him my mission wasn't to scale an agency, but create digital marketing jobs for young adults. We do a lot of training with high profile organizations, losing a lot of money to put on these programs. He said he was 50% owner of americandreamu.org, run by Phil Randazzo.

Why would I question something so easy to verify? But it turns out, a few months later, a mutual friend told me none of this was true. Phil Randazzo called to tell me that Patch was so broke that it was Phil who was paying for Patch's travel, as opposed to Patch making donations to ADU. And that Phil was cutting Patch off, since he was tired of self-funding this non-profit.

It was then that the cards came tumbling down for Patch, as you can see from the other folks here who have come forward to share what happened.

Patch claimed that he was the only one who had GI Bill funding to provide training for young adults to learn digital marketing-- something he knew I was very interested in. But turns out, Enrique Marin was the one who actually had it via a training center he partnered with in Las Vegas that taught tactical driving and drone marketing. Mr. Marin was furious that Patch was trying to take credit for his years of hard work building these programs.

I once visited his house, which he boasted was a $15 million home next door to the CEO of Jet Blue. Turns out it was a rented house worth only a couple million. Still a nice house, but why feel the need to exaggerate it? There was no benefit in making stuff like that up.

And how he's been exposed by people he's screwed over, as you can see.

There are so many aspiring social media marketers like Patch Baker, Aaron Gobidas, Elliot Drake, and Tristan Parmley that will fleece unsuspecting business owners that don't understand how social media actually works.

I've seen Patch's people come and go-- initially pulled in with war stories and promises of riches. He's a great salesman and could be an awesome public speaker to motivate people into what's possible. But before you give him money, do your homework.someone I never met or introduced to as he's tired and has too much on this plate, which was interesting given the amount I have invested with him.

I met Patch Baker in a mastermind in 2019. We had mutual friends and he seemed like a stand-up, successful guy having multiple business ventures between e-commerce companies that were doing great monthly sales and a decent real estate investment portfolio. I also liked how he was another veteran turned businessman after discharging from the military like myself.

Patch Baker approached me about a merchant cash advance business he started. He told me the large percentage returns he was making through this opportunity, and how he had sold around $4 million worth of real estate to put more into this merchant cash advance business venture, how he's already making millions with it, and his plan to sell the business for a billion dollars in the near future.

I ended up investing into this venture because the returns were hard to pass up. Sometimes there are opportunities that "aren't too good to be true" I told myself, as I heard from him how others are making some serious money by investing into this merchant cash advance business.

In the beginning, I invested $350k within the first couple of months of joining on board. He told me I could request weekly funds to be sent my way, and that bank wires would be sent to my bank account on Friday's. I was still a little skeptical about the ordeal so I decided that I would pull funds out each week, instead of letting the investment compound over time (which he always kept telling me I should do). Over the course of the next few months I kept pulling the funds out, until I got my principal back, and plus some profit.

It seemed like a great going gig happening so a couple of months later I invested $125,000 back into his merchant cash advance business. This time I decided I wanted to keep the money in the venture, instead of requesting bank wires each week like last time so that I could compound the money quickly and make a larger profit. Six months went by and I decided I wanted to withdraw some funds. At the time, I was wanting to buy a home with my wife. I requested $42,000 to be sent to me. When the bank wire didn't go through that Friday and still didn't come through the following Monday/Tuesday, it raised an eyebrow. I began asking when the funds were going to come in and he kept telling me that the wire had been sent. I would inquire about it again and again, and he would then have excuses that the funds were locked in the bank account. He says the bank locked their account from being able to receive or send funds for a matter of time.

During this time, I reached out to other investors who put a large amount of cash into this M.C.A. venture. They all said they were getting the same excuse after excuse when they requested bank wires to be sent over.

Patch Baker is a pathological liar, a fraud, and should not be trusted by anyone. He built a ponzi scheme so that he could swindle millions of dollars from people who thought they could trust him. I was fortunate to have made some money in the beginning of this venture because little did I know this was a ponzi and as more new investors came into the picture, earlier investors were able to make money from it. My second round of investing into the venture I never received any of the $125,000 principle back, and several other new investors either made none of their principle back, or got a very small amount back, but nothing close to what they had put into it.

Do not trust Patch Baker. He belongs in jail.

From the beginning, I was very skeptical (as one of my mentors said, if it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true). But during our first call, I was extremely sold on this given that a few people I knew have been in for over a year or so. These statements got me dropping my guard and moving forward with this (I took notes of every call we had “ I was, you know, overseas getting shot out for 10-year span of 13 years, and I never made more than $50,000 14 and a half years. So I wanted to build something that you know when military dudes got their tax return, they can put it in there and start working on real retirement”. “ You have you have more risk at winning the lottery than you do lose the money in this”. Never met him but I knew of him in the past as his name was floating around the Internet Marketing space and through Matt and Tanner. I was impressed by his accomplishments, as Ex-Navy seal, who runs 14 business and captures the whole coffee section on Amazon, buying e-commerce businesses and rolling them up to have a bigger exit. His ambitious goal is to reach a billion dollars in net worth before 50 (he discoursed that to me during our one calls) on top of that he helps veterans which was amazing.

I was ready to jump in so I did wire the first chunk and wired the second later. He claimed he had $48 Million in it but during our call, he said the whole portfolio is only $17 Million which I totally ignored and decided to move forward regardless.

He was giving me a run down and all the reasons why things are not working, I still decided to stay optimistic and check my growing investment in the FloWallet website that's extremely buggy (I'm a tech person and I still ignored that red flag too). During our last call, he asked me to reach out to someone I never met or introduced to as he's tired and has too much on this plate, which was interesting given the amount I have invested with him.

My story is not to bash on Patch but to raise awareness, and not fall for this scam. It's a disgrace for someone to use the military bag of honor to deceive people, I'm an immigrant, I've worked so hard for this and I'm afraid I will lose it due to his shady business practices.

My business partner and I met Patch Baker through a mastermind we were part of. At the time Patch seemed like a very stand up guy who was a veteran and worked hard to build up veteran owned companies and help other vets. He claimed to own over 20 different businesses each doing 7 figures per year, and he also owned a marketing company called Mobius that apparently had tons of big name clients. We became friends over time and he was constantly talking with my partner and I on how the 3 of us should partner up and do something together.

During this time, Patch got a lot of people to invest in a MCA merchant processing company he said he owned that paid out awesome interest on the money invested. I was leary at first, but after many phone calls with patch and him explaining how he had 8+ million of his own money invested and that he had even refinanced his house and took out a HELOC of 3+ million to invest. He also claimed and it was also shown on the subscription agreement that we would be paid our interest every friday and that we could also schedule in advance to receive funds or pull out portions of our investment when we wanted/needed to.

I decided to invest and gave patch over 800k initially to invest and then my partner and I with Patch's blessing and help, raised another 1.2 million and invested that as well. On paper, I made a ton of money, but in January of 2020 when I tried to pull my money out to buy a house, thats when we found out patch was lying through his teeth. First the wires were delayed, then he said they were sent...but never arrived. Then he even sent me a screenshot of a wire confirmation, but when I went to the bank they looked it up and confirmed it was a real wire, but the amount was wrong and it was not a wire to me.. I also found out later he had sent that exact screenshot to another investor as well telling him money was coming also.

Its now 2022 and I still have not got my principle or my interest back, nor has my partner. It turns out, that everything Patch said was a lie, he doesn't even own a home, has Zero of his own money invested, nor does he own the company that was doing the MCA's, The subscription agreements he signed, were bogus, and it turns out that he was the only person working for the MCA company who took/received any money. After talking with other investors, the lies just keep stacking up and he seems like a pathological liar. On our last call together I called Patch out on several of the lies he told me, he became enraged, started yelling, but never could explain the lies or justify them, He ultimately hung up on me and has not spoken to me since.

I met Patch at a mastermind where I got to know him and become friends over a period of about one year. I was always impressed with the stories he shared about the companies he had created for veterans, and how many were successful, as well as giving back to others so they could be veteran-owned. All of this was built off the story of his “super successful media buying company Mobius.” He said he was a marine as well as serving in a special forces division for them. All of this combined promoted the narrative of trust for me in what he was a part of creating or building. Patch always shared the success stories of how well these brands were doing and he seemed very much driven by mission more than money. Over the past 18 months all those stories of success became very apparent they were made up and completely not true.

Unfortunately by this point myself and a lot of my friends had already invested several million dollars into his MCA Venture. I personally Invested just shy of $500,000. Every story he told us has literally turned out to be one lie after another and has shaken out like a Ponzi scheme. Looking back there were several reasons to be concerned and when asked he always seemed to have a decent answer or reasonable reason or solution being put in place. I lost track of the number of conversations where I asked him one on one to call it straight so that if this wasn't working we could mitigate the damage to those who probably should not have been included and he always had stories as to why everything was fine. He even used my name to promote this venture to others so they would think it was legit.

The moment it became obvious that the stories were unraveling where he could no longer keep it together, all of the sudden he became very confused and disabled. He no longer communicated or responded to messages and made it very apparent this competent and very able Bodied person wasn't interested in making any of this right but felt the disabled victim role was more appropriate than the special forces marine veteran with 20 companies and a huge media buying company couldn't function at a normal level all of the sudden. It's very unfortunate how many people he has taken money from with no intent to make good on the things he has said.

I met Patch at a business group and we became instant friends. I had a great deal of respect for his military background. He approached me with an investment opportunity in Merchant Cash Advances. I understood there was risk, but proceeded with a small investment due to my trust in Patch.

Over the next few months, he suggested I invest more and more. He said he had millions of his own money there along with his family members. He projected the return on my investment and the success of the program. He said that I could take withdrawls as often as needed. I invested more and more.

The conversations with Patch became far and few between. I called regularly to get an update on my request for withdrawls. He told me an elaborate story on why my funds were not available and that it was in the process of getting resolved. Months go by and nothing. The communication ceased and I was left with no explanation or next steps on how to recover my principal. It is devastating to know that my original investment may be lost, but equally as devastating is the deception and loss of trust in someone I considered a close friend for almost 2 years. I hope my story helps someone in a similar situation avoid a traumatic experience.

Patch Baker stole my money! I met Patch at a mastermind in 2020. I must say, he put on a good show - he sure fooled me! I invested six figures into his "FloWallet" merchant cash advance program promising egregious returns on my investment. I spoke to other members that invested and vouched for him - little did we all know. The writing was on the wall and had all the signs of a Ponzi scheme, but unfortunately, I too became a victim.

Patch Baker was reluctant to accept my initial investment amount stating that I did not meet the minimum requirement, but the thief did me a "favor" and accepted my money. My "investment" compounded to over 50% in about six months, but it was all a LIE! I attempted to withdraw some of my principal but there was always some "glitch" preventing the withdrawal. I was scammed by Patch Baker.

BEWARE OF PATCH BAKER - PATCH BAKER IS A FRAUD! Patch Baker hides behind his US Veteran status but is nothing but a con man. All of Patch Baker's business ventures are a scam and bogus. Do not be fooled by Patch Baker - do not trust Patch Baker! Patch Baker should be behind bars. I saw Patch sometime in 2021 and asked him what the hell was going on! Honestly, he looked like a complete junkie! As soon as I laid my eyes on him, I knew my money went either up his nose or in his veins. BUYER BEWARE of Patch Baker - he's a crackhead and fraud!

I met Patch Baker at a business networking group in 2018. He worked in a partnership capacity with a number of people in the group, enjoyed a high degree of trust from the membership, and appeared to operate his businesses with integrity.

In 2020, I and a number of other members in the group invested in a deal Patch proposed in the "merchant cash advance" space. I have now come to find that this deal was grossly misrepresented. The promised returns have gone unfulfilled and Patch has supplied no explanation or proof that he intends make good on his commitment.

Bottom line - Patch Baker owes millions in investment capital to myself and others who invested. He lies about his businesses, misrepresents his military history, and steals money from friends snd associates.

PATCH BAKER IS A FRAUD. .

Patch Baker was in my mastermind group. He was a popular speaker and well like by most until he offered people to invest in his MCA program. The program appeared to work very well as long as new people came into it with new money. Then the wheels came off and it stopped. I threw him out of the group and I know for a fact he is not welcome in other mastermind groups as well.

It's unfortunate, but the information has to get out there so others aren't ripped off.

Thank you so much for your reporting of Patch. I just got off a conference call yesterday with some people that added Patch to the call last minute. They wanted to spend 90 days changing my company but growing it by 20-30% and then at the end of the 90 days I would sign over 50% ownership of my company for promised millions in future returns.

Because of your website and exposing Patch, you solidified my gut feeling that they were full of crap.

I worked with patch for a month and a half he promised to pay me for the time worked, he of course never did.

I 1st met Patch in a mastermind group and he would brag about how well his companies were doing and the vision to help veteran businesses to thrive. He also bragged about being a marketing genius and know how to sell greatly and now I know he is because he made me believe that the merchant investment was the 8th wonder for putting your money to work and that there was nothing better that could compete with the type of returns the merchant investment could do. I invested $200K which only $25K got back and the rest he went cricket. Now he is playing the victim as if he had anything to do with it which it was a complete scam now that I look in retrospect.

Patch Baker became a friend of mine after I met him in a mastermind group. Friend is too strong of a word here because friends don't do what he did to me and others within and outside the group. I can only write of my personal experience and here it is. Patch was charismatic and was a lightning bolt in our group when he arrived. He spoke like a Marine and told us he had 20 companies that he started with other veterans and his goal was making veterans owners of businesses and self sufficient. He said all his veteran owned companies made over 1 million a year. He said he had a foundation for donations to help out veterans.

He appealed to our sense of patriotism and spoke well about business in front of the group and he was well liked by most in the group. He got people to invest in merchant accounts and he offered usurious returns and sadly, it was a ponzi scam. He initially hooked me with his work with veterans as I am and have been a contributor to the Navy Seals Foundation and Special Ops and have family military personal in these areas. When discussing his opportunity, to get me to invest $550,000 he lied to me that he had put in $3,900,000 of his refinanced funds on his home in the deal. He told me the merchant accounts was his company-it wasn't! He basically used the identity of another person with intent to decieve-the classic definition of personation.

I came to find out, he doesnt have a foundation and the guy that runs it was a liar as I was going to contribute. He doesnt own a home so he never refinanced. He also claimed on one call that he had $9,000,000 invested in the merchant accounts. That was total bullshit. Patch told many stories to others-he couldn't keep them straight and now he plays the victim with his security dog and from what I understand he has been banned from other master mind groups.

I have not received one dime of my money back and Patch has done nothing to bring it about. He's confused as he acts like the victim. I am quite sure he has violated the SEC and more especially when he discussed his service in the Marines.
